P.J. O'Sullivan has over 20 years of experience in government relations, community relations, strategic planning, public relations, market research, and political campaigns. Prior to entering the private sector, O'Sullivan forged a long career in state and federal government, including stints as District Director for both Congressman Gerry Studds and Congressman Bill Delahunt, as senior staff at the Commonwealth's Department of Employment & Training, and as Governor Dukakis' seasonal employment director. Through those roles, he built strong relationships with government leaders, community groups, labor leaders, and media representatives across Massachusetts.
Additionally, O'Sullivan has worked and consulted for dozens of political campaigns from the Presidental level down to local municipal races. Most recently, O'Sullivan served as the Election Day manager for the State of Maine for the Kerry for President Campaign in 2004 and served as a consultant on the winning campaign of Tim Murray for Lt. Governor in 2006.
O'Sullivan left public service in 1998 to launch O'Sullivan & Associates, now with over a decade of experience serving clients with a wide range of public affairs needs. O'Sullivan, a graduate of Milton Academy, earned a B.A. in Government from Connecticut College and has studied graduate level Survey & Market Research at the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University.
Kathleen Lander brings more than 10 years of experience in state government to O'Sullivan & Associates. Through her positions with the Child Support Enforcement Division of the Department of Revenue, she interpreted state and federal law, wrote policies and procedures, and directed employee training programs. She also gained finance and auditing experience with the State's Tax Collection Bureau. As the Grassroots Coordinator for OSA, Lander organizes public support through community relations, grassroots outreach and grassroots communications. Lander has years of experience in identifying community groups, community leaders, and other constituencies that can determine the success or failure of a project by their support, or lack thereof. Lander received a B.A. in Political Science from Southeastern Massachusetts University.
Prior to joining O'Sullivan & Associates, Aidan Leary served as an Intern at the District Office of Congressman William Delahunt in Quincy, Massachusetts. During this time, he gained invaluable experience in government relations. Leary joined OSA as an intern. He is responsible for all facets of client management, marketing production, and communications. Leary recently graduated from Stonehill College with a B.A. in History.
